As a zealous lover of life, yoga and adventure, Katie believes that life is about uncovering your passions, finding your flow, and catching your dreams.

Katie is a 500-hr Yoga Teacher, Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy Specialist, Breathwork Facilitator, and Meditation Guide from Los Angeles, CA. She specializes in teaching Vinyasa Yoga, Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga, Meditation, Breathwork, Somatic Therapy, and Health & Wellness Coaching. Katie enjoys guiding students through creative and effective yoga and meditation classes with a sense of mindfulness, positivity, compassion, and love.

Katie is originally from the state of Maine in the U.S. where she grew up as a Springboard Diver. She carried this passion for competitive diving through her college years at Northeastern University, in Boston, MA where she received numerous championship awards while studying Sports Psychology & Business. Upon graduating from university, she moved to Los Angeles, CA where she lived for over 16 years.

After years of living with numerous health issues she took her health into her own hands. Katie became a Certified Wellness & Nutrition Coach and helped heal herself. Due to this new passion of personal wellness, she soon dreamed of helping others obtain their optimal health and wellbeing.

Katie ultimately landed a dream job of leading Corporate Wellness Programs for Fortune 100 and Fortune 10 companies in Los Angeles, with the goal of changing the corporate culture of stress to a culture of wellbeing. While working in her full-time corporate job, she also completed her 200-hr RYT Teacher Training in Los Angeles, CA. This training uncovered a path that she never truly imagined. Katie balanced her corporate career along with teaching multiple yoga classes, workshops, and teacher trainings during her personal time for over 5 years.

In 2016, Katie wanted to deepen her yoga education and completed her 500-hr RYT Teacher Training in Thailand. This experience, along with a trip to Bali before her training, opened her heart and eyes to a whole new world. After 5+ years of balancing both her full-time corporate job and teaching yoga, she realized she was both happier and making a more direct and positive impact teaching yoga from a place of intention, mindfulness, and compassion.

Although she loved supporting corporate employees with their wellness, she ultimately chose to leave her successful corporate career to dive more fully into teaching yoga and leading international retreats and trainings. In early 2017, she moved to Bali & Thailand for just under a year to dive deeper into yoga and the beautiful spirituality found in these two countries. After her time in Southeast Asia, Katie returned to California to teach and run her home yoga studio in Los Angeles, where she managed a team of over 25 staff and teachers, managed their marketing strategy, and enjoyed building the studio to even greater success. She also continued to expand her international retreat business, yet realized she was missing the culture, spirituality and lifestyle that Bali provided.

Katie is thrilled to be living in Bali, co-leading yoga teacher training programs with Sattva Yoga. In her off-time from teacher trainings, she guides students around the world through her international retreat business, Soulscape Retreats; works with her breathwork students and private trauma recovery clients.

Katie’s deepest desire is to guide others along their personal path of yoga, uncovering their authentic selves and living with purpose. Katie’s approach will help you deepen your yoga practice to restore your body, mind, and soul.

Always learning, growing and diving deeper into all aspects of yoga, Katie has completed additional certificate trainings in MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction); Somatic Therapy; Trauma-Informed Yoga; Breathwork; Meditation; Reiki; Integrative Body Work; and more. She appreciates the profound depths of yoga, and the profound impact it can make on our mental, emotional and physical well-being.
